As followers of Christ of all ages, we value continuing to grow in our relationship with God. Together, we grow deeper in faith, help one another discover life-giving ways of serving that align with our gifts and passions, and follow Jesus in reaching out in love.

Confirmation Ministry
Confirmation is a special time of discipleship training, prayer, fun, and friendship during 6th, 7th, & 8th grades as students prepare to affirm their baptism in the fall of their 9th grade year. Through the Confirmation experience, individuals “confirm” or affirm the
promises made in faith at the time of their baptism. Our ministry is designed to help students better understand how they can keep these promises as they live as a follower of Jesus Christ. It is a time to explore faith and experience life within the body of Christ. The confirmation program includes lessons, discussions, fun, service, building relationships, retreats, worship, and other service and fellowship events. Our Confirmation Ministry at St. Peter meets on Wednesday nights from 6:45 to 7:45 p.m. throughout the school year. A Registration Form is available here.

Intergenerational Ministry

The mission of St. Peter’s Intergenerational Ministry is to gather the Children of God in all stages of life for fellowship with and learning from one another, in order to more intentionally live into the promises made at each baptism. Our weekly gatherings for Christian Education are for all ages; infant to centenarian. We meet on Sunday mornings from 10:20 a.m. to 11:15 a.m. September through April. As a family of faith, we worship together, so why not extend that intergenerational engagement into a classroom setting where we can learn alongside and from one another. It is our goal, to build a truly Intergenerational Ministry. A Registration Form is available here.
** Children are welcome to attend without a parent/ grandparent, and must be 3 yrs of age and potty trained.

Adult Discipleship
As disciples of Jesus Christ, we are called to move from spiritual infancy to spiritual maturity (Philippians 3:13-14, Ephesians 4:12-14). For this reason, we strive to provide opportunities for adults and young adults to continue to grow in their relationship with Jesus Christ (Matthew 28:19). We offer Bible Studies, classes, discussion groups, prayer team opportunities, service projects, a Book Club, fellowship events, and serving
opportunities throughout the year We need the voice of other brothers and sister in Christ on the journey of faith. Christian Discipleship is done in partnership with one another (Acts 2:42-47).). As we grow in faith, we turn our hearts to God, giving of ourselves and our resources – freely and cheerfully (2 Corinthians 9:7).

Sugar Creek Bible Camp

At St. Peter, we are blessed to partner with Sugar Creek Bible Camp for Summer Bible Camp for youth (age 5 through seniors in high school), school-year retreats, fellowship events, service projects, and family discipleship events throughout the year. Sugar Creek’s mission is to be a place “Where all generations encounter Christ, experience God’s grace, and are empowered by the Holy Spirit to go forth in faith.” We invite you to learn more at: sugarcreekbiblecamp.org. St. Peter Lutheran Church offers $300 "Camperships" for children attending Sugar Creek Bible Camp. If your child is not attending a full week (or the cost of camp is less than $300), St. Peter will pay the whole amount. We are grateful to help support our children going to camp in such a significant way. Also, if financing any amount for camp is an issue, please let us know. We never say “no” to a kid wanting to go to camp!
WELCA
St. Peter has an active Women of the ELCA (WELCA) Group. Their mission: "As a community of women created in the image of God, called to discipleship in Jesus Christ, and empowered by the Holy Spirit, we commit ourselves to grow in faith, affirm our gifts, support one another in our callings, engage in ministry and action, and promote healing and wholeness in the church, the society, and the world." Vacation Bible School
Each summer, St. Peter invites children from the church and community to participate in a fun, action-packed, time to grow in faith in Jesus Christ. During Vacation Bible School, we take an extended time to dive into God’s promises for us, play games, sing praise
songs, and more. Sign up for our Newsletter or E-News to stay up-to-date on the next dates for Vacation Bible School. Vacation Bible School is for children in1st through 5th Grade.

First Communion Instruction
Each year we offer a four-week class or one-day retreat for our 5 th Grade youth towards the end of their 5 th Grade year of school. All current 5th grade students (and older youth who have not yet received First Communion Instruction) are invited to attend this First
Communion Retreat along with a Parent or Grandparent. It is a fun and meaningful time to learn more about Holy Communion and for children to prepare to receive their First Communion. The retreat includes discussion, video, baking bread, activities, Bible readings, and lots of opportunities for youth to talk with and learn alongside their parent/grandparent that is along with them.


ELCA Youth Gathering
Every three years, high school youth from St. Peter join 30,000 high school youth and their adult leaders from across the Evangelical Lutheran Church in America gather for a week of faith formation known as the ELCA Youth Gathering. Through days spent in interactive learning, worship, Bible study, service and fellowship, young people grow in faith and are challenged and inspired to live their faith in their daily lives.
