“I am passionate about discipleship and mission, and it is a joy to come alongside others as we seek to grow in our relationship with God and seek to share the gifts that God has given us to love and serve others within the church and beyond in the communities in which we work and play. I find it exciting that we are called to follow Christ and enter into the world alongside others in order to be a part of God’s work in the world. I love that it is God who comes to us in the midst of our brokenness in order to bring about healing. My life experiences both joyous and sorrowful have contributed to my call to ministry. I have learned the importance of being a safe place for people to ask questions of faith. Through the deaths of family members, both young and old, I have learned of God's healing presence, the importance of honest prayer, and the blessing of loving community. Thank you for the opportunity to join you in ministry here at St. Peter.”  -Pastor Miranda

Senior Pastor: Miranda Klosterboer

Pastor Miranda began serving as the Senior Pastor of St. Peter in March of 2020.  Miranda enjoys coming alongside others on the journey of faith, spending time with family and friends, and being active outdoors. Exploring the beautiful trails and hills of the area while hiking with her two young sons (Micah age six and Jonathan age three) is particularly life-giving for her. Miranda is married to Jesse, a loving father, gifted musician, and faithful camp director; he serves as the Executive Director of Sugar Creek Bible Camp, in Ferryville, WI. Both Jesse and Miranda feel blessed to be serving in ministry alongside such wonderful people.

Pastor Miranda graduated from Bethel Seminary (M.Div.), completed her Lutheran Year through Luther Seminary, and served her ELCA internship at East Koshkonong Lutheran Church in Cambridge, WI. Her first pastoral call was as the solo Pastor of Good Shepherd Lutheran Church in Lena, IL. Her second call was as Associate Pastor of Lutheran Church of the Resurrection in Marion, IA.

Miranda grew up in Iowa and graduated from Iowa State University with a B.S. in English Education. Prior to seminary, Miranda lived and worked in St. Paul, MN, where she served as the Children’s Minister at Our Redeemer Lutheran Church, volunteered with the Navigators collegiate ministry and 20’s and 30’s ministry, and worked in the public schools with special education students. Miranda trained in the martial art of Taekwondo for nearly 22 years, and she is so thankful for her friendships with her teammates from those years of learning and competing. Miranda also enjoys basketball, volleyball, playing guitar, and game nights with family.
