Baptisms

Jesus commands his followers to "go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and the Son and of the Holy Spirit" (Matthew 28:19). This is a command from Jesus which he gives as his "last words" before his ascension into heaven. At St. Peter, we are filled with joy at each baptism as God welcomes a new child into God’s family. Baptism is a public event for the whole family of God to celebrate! People of all ages are welcome to the waters of baptism. We schedule baptisms around the family's preference and the availability of the church during worship. When we are asked to provide baptism for a family, we will meet with them to discuss the meaning of the sacrament, and plan the baptism.

Weddings

Marriage is a gift from God. It is a way of intentionally living a deep relationship with your spouse and Jesus Christ and begins with a marriage ceremony where Christ is at the center. Wedding ceremonies are first and foremost a worship service, which celebrates your marriage. The church plans wedding ceremonies to reflect God's love for us, and your love for each other, with input from the couple. Premarital counseling is provided by the pastoral staff. To inquire about available dates, or for general questions about holding your
wedding here, please contact the church office at 608-326-6411.
